You do not need a fan when running the GTB2s with spec motors. We are listing Havoc 2S and GTB2 versions in our store with the low-profile HSs installed, the smallest TransCap module we offer and no fan. We list the low profile HSs also, if you need to install one on your existing controller.

We are also performing additional testing on our little Mongoose escs with the 25.5T motors to see how they perform. This may be a better choice in extremely tight spaces. When this testing is complete, we will update our product information to include 540-size motor compatibility for this controller: 17.5, 21.5, 25.5.

I'm curious if the 25.5 would be allowed in VTA. Seems like it would be a good fit.

Bill D.
Maybe Rock Crawling......or a silver can replacement??? From what I was told this wasnt intended to go for the VTA market...SP knows that its Novak only motor class. But thats not to say if you wanted to do a VTA race with hand out motors then this motor would be the right price for something like that....maybe for an enduro race where everyone uses the same motor and they are cheap enough that after 1000 laps if its junk oh well it was cheap fun. That might be where this motor is uesed....but it wont be allowed in the USVTA rules....it will always be a 1 motor only class.

what's this 'smallest' TransCap module? the one I got on my gtb2 (which I just ordered from tower over the weekend), is still pretty big and looks like the one I had on the GTB i had for a little while?

is there any kind of return/exhange policy on the heatsinks if you got a big one instead of the lower profile one?

We may not sell the GTB2 with the LP/HS through distributors, because it cannot be used with hotter, low wind motors. We will sell it on line, and in the USVTA store, with the motor wind disclaimer. Here is the TC module we install on the GTB2:

Novak TransCap Module 2S

This page includes a photo of the old module that it replaced.

Hey its just been Novak from the gate, why put a monkey wretch in it now.

I think things are better than ever in vta. The current rules are great.

The people who I have been in contact with from SP understand that this motor will not be allowed for USVTA. As others have stated, SP is looking at different markets like silver can racers, etc., who might use the wind.
