I've gone the last two years, it doesn't disappoint. Eric runs a great race.

Last year we stayed at holiday inn for the weekend.

The only thing I would like to see is for it to be a 2 -3 day event
But me and the fam will be making the trip from Nashville

Default first VTA race at SpeedWorld in northern california

Forgive me if this is against the rules, but I thought I would plug my local track (www.speedworldraceway.com); we are planning our first VTA race in a week on March 5th! We're in the sacramento/roseville area of northern california.

To hopefully be slightly more on topic, here's my HPI 69 Z28 with pactra metallic blue rattle can backed with black..still need some VTA number stickers:

Very nice ride!
You are going to enjoy racing in a USVTA rules racing program.

Well, I just ordered 2 HPI Sprint Sports for me and my boy from Tower, I hope the back order isn't too long. I'll try and get the required VTA spec electronics soon for mine.
Where can you get the VTA decals to put on the bodies or larger ones for a tool box etc....?

Lynn, I don't think the VTA logo is available as a decal. You can surely have someone make them for you though. Contact Carl Seils here on rctech. He makes GREAT decals and his pricing is easy on the wallet. His user name is CSeils.

I have seen a few on cars in the VTA paint section, so I thought some one had them already.
I'll look into the guy you mentioned.

Where can one can vintage style sponsor decals? The same guy?

Thanks,
Lynn

I could be wrong but I don't think the vta logo decal is widely available or sold through the vta site. I'm guessing that any you've seen were made by someone....quite possibly Carl. And yes, He makes a great sponsor decal sheet. I bought a couple just recently along with some customized decals for a soon to come Pantera body. When the Javelin gets here, I'll be giving Carl a call on that one too.

I PM'd him to see what he has to offer,
Thanks again,

Thumbs up

If there is enough interest, I can put together a USVTA decal sheet and get a hold of Carl to print them. He does great work, and I have all of the graphics still. I'll check with Rob to see if he wants to do it as an official USVTA decal sheet...

That would be great!!
I loved that Pace car Camero with the VTA decals on it in the VTA paint thread, so may be a few different sized graphics would be cool.
Little ones sponsor sized for the quarters or fenders , larger ones for a hood or a trunk like on that VTA Pace car, and I would love a 2"-3" size to put on the tool box.

Those original sheets were made up by Wallstreet a few years ago and were printed in the UK by a decal company that I don't think is still doing stuff anymore. There were only a handful of sheets made, and were all on a white background. I have a few in my decal box, still.

I have done a lot of work with Carl, and I have been thrilled with the quality of the decals he has done for me. I'm sure we can do some really great stuff for the VTA crowd.
