Yup, good stuff........

........and you can use it in the wheelwells to keep the body from cracking there as easily too

What's up Ryan? My 17.5's fdr is around 3.1. They are still testing fdr limits with 21.5/lipo but I hear it will be around 4.2 or 4.3 Hope to see you soon.

tip on the Shoo-goo... have a wet towel handy to get your finger a little damp, then it won't stick all over your finger and it will apply easier. I use it to coat the inside of my bodies where the typical pressure/cracking/rubbing spots are...saves the paint and makes them alot more durable...it does at some weight but not much. Wet, damb & spread a thin coat.. dries quick and smooth. Use it around the body post holes, fenders & bumpers. I also had to use it on my camaro spoiler after a rear hit.

Just don't worry about the brushed motor FDR when you are using brushless...brushless are WAYYYYYYY lower then brushed.

For 17.5 6 cells/lipo....a little bit above 3 FDR is good to try. 13.5, around 4.5 FDR. Schumacher is finalizing the 21.5 right now. (since you are asking about LIPO...I am assuming you are running 6 cells for outdoor, right..?)

Hate to be a complete and total noob.... but exactly HOW does a person go about achieving such a low FDR?

I have an HPI Pro 4, 100t spur, 2.4375 internal--- according to the chart in the instructions i'm gonna need a 42t pinion to hit a 5.80FDR!?!? Is that normal?

Right now i'm running a 27turn stock motor-- P2K2-- but i'm interested in 21.5/lipo.

thanks!!!

start with an 88t spur, you will need big pinions

and here

Still can't find a Trans-AM pic of the 1969 Superbird....

You probably won't. The Superbird was a car built for NASCAR and not Trans Am. The only Mopars in T/A were the Challenger and the 'Cuda.

I'm slowly thinking ( like thats a stretch for me ) that maybe, just maybe once some fool ran one in a Trans-AM race.. I have an unpainted one that I want to run but the rules are the rules... I wonder just how it would do....

I did find a Dodge Dart did race in a Trans-AM race thought.....

There is a website out there somewhere that has all of the actual printed results from every Trans Am race from 1964 to 1972 on it, and I looked through the registered race finishes before I confirmed any rules for bodies. I'm a Mopar guy, so that one would have jumped out at me. Other than the Dodge Dart before the Cuda/Challenger, I didn't see any other cars from Chrysler that would have qualified for our rules.

Thanks for the time and effort you have put into this, a lot of people would have strayed from the rules.... wikipedia has a nice entry for the Trans-Am..
