For Indy in February its USVTA with ROAR esc and no driver required.

For the Scale Nats its USVTA, I'm guessing no oneways like last year.

The nats belt is JC's to keep. Did Brad ever give up the original belt? That is the "traveling" belt

The last time I drove with a one way it was on dirt with my Turbo Optima. That should tell you how long ago that was. Please, no smart comments from guys that are younger than some of my battery packs.
Anyway I cant say that I know how that would handle on carpet or tarmac but I would not expect to like that.

I ran a one-way in my cars before I stopped racing a couple of years ago. I found them not to be any faster indoors on tight tracks than a front diff—just harder to control in tight quarters and you couldn't enter a corner hard to attempt a dive-bomb pass.

I'll have a spool or a diff in the front of this car, and from the results of the previously posted survey, so will everyone else.

I'm in the process of building up my old TC3 for VTA racing and am a bit confused about gearing. Nearest I can find is that I should be running a 64 pitch 80/50 combo. I'm really not that familiar with brushless motors and am wondering what characteristics do they have from bushed motors that call for gearing so far out oif the original Associated recommended range?

Original standard gear was a 72 spur (48 pitch) which I guess would mean a 42/43 pinion. Are these available or just will not fit? (again AE recommended a 19-28 pinion range)

Do the brushless motors just have tons more torque to spin the gearing?

And less tonnage in the RPM Department, either metric or standard.
