That depends on your local track size and layout. I've been hearing at The Track @ Harbor Hobbies that most guys are running in the 3.83 range. At least that was from 2 of the guys, not sure if I actually trust them though.

The FDR is totally track dependent Our track is a small 1/12th track with consecutive 180 degree corners in the infield. This making acceleration but more desirable than top speed.

I am running a 4.7 on my FT TC4. While I have tried 3.8 it's way to boggy in the infield to make any kind of good time

Most of the new VTA cars I help set up here are initially geared 3.8-4.0's, after they hit the track, who knows. The consistent range here has been from the 3.7-4.4's, and as low as 3.4

I believe last time Jimmy and I ran together, I was on one end of the spectrum and he the other.

It's a neat 3 day'er at the end of March in Superior/Duluth that is run by the Lake Superior RC Club at the "DECC" in conjucntion with the World of Wheels car show.

We went last year and had a really nice time, they ran MMR Club Spec VTA (3.7v/17.5), Stock Slash, stock and mod 1/12,WGT, stock (open tire) and mod foam sedan as well as a couple of other classes.

I think this year they are talking about adding Club Spec Mini Cooper as well as Stock Rubber Sedan.

That's sweet that is only 4 hours from me. I'll have to get a bunch from here to go down. Does anyone have more details on this race

Robk...no no no....

Motor Specifications:
25.5 brushless with 2C LiPo: Novak SS25.5 Pro brushless motor (pn:3425V) or Ballistic 25.5 (pn:3625V- stator only pn:S6625) ONLY combined with any ROAR-approved hard-cased 2C 7.4v LiPo pack up to and including 5000 mAh capacity. Novak motors are the ONLY motor allowed at this time. All house track rules regarding LiPo usage apply. Only physical motor timing advance is allowed, however Ballistic motors must not be advanced beyond the timing range sticker. 12.3 mm rotor diameter only (no "tuning" rotors are allowed, only stock Novak rotors allowed). Using ceramic bearings in the motor makes you a dork.

even if I agree...no sir...play fair
