Our P/N 1733 has been discontinued, and replaced with P/N 1734: Havoc 3S, which has Traxxas battery connector and bullet motor plugs installed for easier installation into Traxxas vehicles.

Thankx Novak 2
I am a Horizon Hobby & HRP dealer,
the part numbers listed are not sold on either shop
I do however have several customers wanting to move from CORR truck [Slash's] to VTA, they purchased the Havoc 3s & 13.5 combo for thier trucks, now they want to move to VTA and buy a stator ONLY to race
I also investigated the 'statisics' of the 3s and found no performance advantage

I am not whinning or crying about the "1734" not being listed just investigating.

we have ran VTA now for 4 years [previously 'Nostaliga'] and our track is very fond of the class. [OVRCCC]

Thankx for the help
Bill

I have a couple of guys here who are using the "3S" in VTA at the club level for the very same reason as you have stated. I have seen no on track advantage for the couple we have running them in 2S. While it may not be listed as USVTA approved, we try and make it work for all concerned. GP carries the 1734.

We have a dealer-direct program for Hobby Shops who support USVTA; this allows dealers to purchase the customized, non-distributed items offered in our store section (linked above).

My mistake. I misread something on the front page of the Novak site that mentioned VTA then provided a link, and the link went to the remanufacturerd page where that ESC was found, NOT the VTA page that I thought I was going to.

The 3S is not on the legal list, but it still may be something to look into as a legally approved VTA speedo.

Talk to Rob about it, he's the final word.

Thankx Squarehead

we have not been allowing any other speedo than what is listed, but I hate to force racers to spend $$ [amazing huh??] when they really don't need to

Thankx for all the help guys

I checked all those links from our front page and they worked fine for me; if you find it again, please PM me and I will have it fixed.

No link issue—it was operator error. Reading is a skill, that hasn't been in my toolbox lately.

I want to second that, because it was not an easy decision and he knew there would be flak no matter what he did. So the ruling came like a kidney stone, but I believe the class now is stable and flourishing.
