As far as foams go we have had some guys for enduros take their VTA cars and put foams on them. Usually they were hard nitro foams and they worked well with the rubber setups on the car. As far as offset foams I don't know of any but I'm assuming you are looking at that for the "look" of the cars. Well the HPI Mustangs are narrower in the rear so they will look fine with no offset. The Cuda and Camaro are wider in the rear but you could always just widen the rear with wheel shims if its that important. You really won't have the vintage look anyway so I personally wouldn't worry about it.
If you are looking for offset foam tires look at Jaco Nitro Foams. Stormerhobbies sells them for 8.99 a pair. (Cheaper than can be bought from a distirbutor) They are rear and front specific because of the offset in the rear.

Very nice thanks I am just confirming with jaco that these will be close enough and what compound would give us the least amount of grip. lol I know weird eh!

P.S. Since I have not run 1/10th at all I am assuming that the drive hex size is 12mm? Looking at the tires they look smaller than my stock t-maxx 14mm ones

Default Gear diff in VTA?

Just curious if anyone has tried one in VTA? Maybe in the the front? It would act more like a spool, but have some give to it? Do these 25t have any power to put down? I've not tried a 25T yet. I have to buy a diff anyway, so I figured a gear diff would be cheaper.

Default Traxxas 4-Tec

I have an old electric 4-Tec and wanted to know if the chassis would be legal for VTA?

After watching you guys on Sunday(I was the guy racing the Inferno GT2), it seemed like fun and since I have a chassis, i should be able to get into it pretty cheap! Any good motor/esc combos you'd recommend?

Get the Ballistic 25 and either a Novak Havoc, Novak GTB or Speed Passion Cirtix Spec stock controller.

Thanks for the link, will the motors drop in my 4tec or will an adapter be needed, and this goes for any of the VTA Spec motors?

motor should drop right in - the mount the same as a brushed motor, just with a few additional holes in the can for screws.

you might have to play with gearing to find something that works, but that shouldn't be too much of an issue

just remember, you now will have 3 wires going from the speedo to the motor (instead of 2) as well as the sensor wire - so plan accordingly

The remanufactured GTB at that price is a no brainer. That is an awesome deal.

3 wires, not 2.
