Yep.
I have a tp5000 and a few carbon packs.
The two red case zippy 4000's I own are every bit as good.
Been using them OFF and on road and they have held up
fantastic for over a year.
Been trying to buy as much
as I can local/within the usa but when someone offers up
a pack that is just as good if not better for $25.00 it
makes it hard to spend $100 + on one.

I just ordered some 5000mah 20C lipos for my B4 and I'm wondering if they're gonna work well with my Novak Spec system. What do you guys think? I'm just wondering if a higher C rating might be better.

Depends, if you are running a hot motor in the B4 then the higher C rating will help. For VTA, I've always run a 20C, although I think something in the 30-40C range might be better these days.

Does anyone have a baseline setup sheet for an RDX for medium grip outdoor asphalt (fairly newer re-surface on a parking lot). Ive wrenched and wrenched and the best setup I could muster was hooked up but it was eating my fronts alive (fresh set lasted about 5 runs and they are slicks now). Ive just recently gotten back into touring cars specifically to run VTA and Im having a hard time getting this thing lined out. I'm running 21.5, 2 cell and a camaro body. The surface is fairly smooth with just a few small bumps at one end. Any help would be appreciated!

Sunday we had a rain free day in the parking lot. We have a several guys fine tuning their setups in preparation for a VTA and RCGT tropy race at Ft. Wayne, IN this Sunday June 20, 2010. This race is part of a the Ft. Wayne, IN 2010 Ribfest. Here is a link on Hobbytalk that contains more info including photos and a short video from racing last year at the same location. (http://www.hobbytalk.com/bbs1/showthread.php?t=289556).

For anyone interested in this event, there is a permanent pavilion to pit under that has plenty of power outlets as well as bathrooms.

Sounds like you are pushing through the corners... what spring rates are you running front and rear?

Ummm....

Most people are running 21.5 brushless motors.

In September most people will be running 25.5 Novak motors.

www.usvintagetransam.com for the most current and future rules.

However, if you're just running a Silver Can to get your feet wet, try a 5.72 FDR. That will put you at the same speed as the Tamiya Championship Series TT-01 Novice class which only allows Silver can motors.

Silver Can refers to the Johnson/Mabuchi 540 size motor made by Tamiya.

Anyone looking to get on track at the Jackson R/C facility in NJ, VTA or otherwise, should check out their next trophy race on July 17/18th. VTA is always great there because the track layout is good enough to run side by side almost everywhere.

TC3/TC4 owners, I noticed that IRS is discounting their parts for those cars, some at 50% off! Just FYI.
