I'm hoping we don't need to do that, but the break is long, clean and through the center of my right arch. I gotta figure out how to scan my X-rays in...

I'm really wishing I still lived in a ranch home instead of a 5 level townhouse right about now. Stairs are teh suck. My left leg is killing me now because I have to do everything on one leg. I am learning how to drive with my left foot though.

See how much I GIVE back to racing?

We did find a really cool new use for battery strapping tape, though. Kept the swelling down really nice—the ER doc was impressed. The wife was NOT.
Again, speedo (or speedy) recovery...you know the summer 1/8th on road is right around the corner, right..? If your doctor said he need to put a pin on your foot...open your Schumacher part box and pull out the U3142 Titanium Inner Hinge Pins or the U1440 Titanium Pro Pin Outer for your doctor to choose. Since you run Schumacher, he should use the purple one instead of the silver one...then you don't have to pay for the parts thru your insurance company, just the labor... Tell your doctor you don't need no stinking Xray....

Those pics are fantastic! Can't wait to start racing in that class...looks like a lot of fun. Hopefully it continues through to next year in Colorado too - looks like I will be moving to either Denver or the Springs if I get my way.

That's disappointing that there is no on-road racing in the Springs. Not even in the summertime?

I don't want to hijack this thread, but if you could PM me sometime with what there is out there (off-road, on-road, whatever, and what is available in the winter and summer respectively) that would be great. If I do make it out there it would be sometime next June (2009) or so.

Doug I hope things are going alright with the foot. It was nice seeing you and your brother again. It's been awhile since I last saw Keith, probably when I bought my 83 GT of you guys....

Anyway hope you have a speedy recovery.....

Thanks Ryan. Glad you guys had a good time.

After a visit to the orthopedic specialists yesterday, thankfully there is no surgery needed. I got a removable/inflatable cast for 3 weeks, at the minimum. It was a "spiral" break of my 5th metatarsal, so worst case scenario is I'll be hobbling around like "Sasquatch" until early May.

In case you've missed it, HPI has some photos of last weekend's race on their website at this link (http://www.hpiracing.com/news/2008032701/).

Now if we can get them to make an AMC body

Yes, we will have decals and t-shirts available on the website very shortly. Hang tight.

Those were old HPI decal sheets that were donated by HPI for the USVTA Nats last weekend. I think they are making new sheets, though they may have some still remaining. Best to contact Andrew or Colin at HPI to see what they have left. There is contact info about these decal sheets earlier in this thread, too.

It's custom molded piece made for this race and Concours, which he won. Rick Vessel (JonnySocko) made a mold on a rapid prototype machine at work, and vaccu-formed it of butylrate. I believe it's just servo-taped to the front of the '68 Camaro body. That car had a RAM engine sound and speaker in it, too, that revved up with throttle. He ran it that way the entire race day. Rick certainly GETS it. Thumbs up to Rick.

There was word that he may pass it on to HPI or try to have these pulled for others, but I don't know for sure what his plans are with the new nose.

cool I know Rick I'll have to see if he can get me one. I can't drive a camero or mustang or cuda it just wouldn't be considerate to my 92 Firebird. My 04 Bonnieville hates that I drive a Stratus 3.0

if you see Rick ask him about the Rallibu. He'll know what you mean.

Don't go getting that started again Dirla!

NO bumper for you!!

Thanks for the props Doug. It was fun to have everything rigged up on that car and it made it through the entire day! Kevin did succeed in taking the rear spoiler off but it bolted right back on.

As for making more bumpers for others, stay tuned........
