Ooooo oooooo ooooo....How 'bout a HORNET!

Oh, better yet, a Marlin (possibly the biggest fastback car ever made for you yung-un's who ain't seen one).

Ah...it would probably be something boring like a Javelin or something (psych...that's what I really want if we can't get a '67 Cougar or '66 or '67-8 Mustang notchback)

Amen.

I was kind of surprised that they haven't taken advantage of the tooling they've got to do a '66 notchback. They've got the nose and tail detailing and the hood and body sides, "all" they'd have to add would a roof and trunk change and they're MONEY.

As cool as the 68 notchback is it's yet another mustang... we have plenty of those to choose from in an already limited selection of bodies. We need a Javelin, bad.

Yea I really do love the mustangs, I run the Pegasus now and have for quite awhile but the Javelin was also a very popular car in the Trans Am series. It is frequently requested that's why I'm kinda shocked nobody has produced it yet..

Then again, we already had 3 Camaros available to us too...one of which is a '69. No doubt HPI's '69 is WAY nicer than the Parma, but for the same effort in tooling they could have had a Firebird. So now we have (count 'em) FOUR Camaros, three Mustangs, and two Baracudas. No Ramblers, though there's a guy in Seattle that has a Camaro painted up like the Penske Javelins and it looks pretty convincing out on the track. No Cougars, no Challengers, no...

The biggest challenge I'd see is sorting out who one would have to licence Javelin from. Mustangs and Camaros it's pretty straightforward. The Baracudas get a little more complicated (maybe) because Chrysler's chain of ownership gets kinda shakey the last decade or so and who knows who has retained rights to what as it all got passed around. My first guess for the Ramblers (Javelin) would be Chrysler, but again I'd bet it gets dicey. And for a company like HPI I bet they make sure they've got their licensing ducks WELL in a row (and wisely so) before they commit to creating a tool.

I hear a "Ding" AND a "Ding".

I'd do 'em in a NY minute. Make mine Alan Moffatt's green and gold Bud Moore '67 "affiliate" car.

Looks good Andy, I do know several that will be happy to see that Camaro too! A Cougar body would do I guess if the Javelin thing wouln't work out.
