The Snowbirds is running their second annual 600-lap enduro. Last year, we did not one, but *two* 600-lappers, complete with mandatory four-tire stops somewheres during the races. Brought back the days of the enduros at the Whip...granted, I'm talkin' 'bout oval racing here; 600 laps at the 'Birds' track took about an hour to run.

Since VTA is pretty much exclusively lipo at most tracks, what issues have racers had fitting Lipos into older chassis? I was specifically wondering about 2 cars.
HPI RS4 Pro3 - best fit would be a hard case lipo 135mm or shorter. The Orion 2400 or 3400 is a bit too long, but can be used. Is there a better battery option?
Losi JRXS Pro (not the R version) - I've read a number of posts about using a dremel on various parts of the car to get Lipos to fit. Is there a hard case lipo that will fit in this car without major modification?

For the JRX-S the Orion 3400 (Carbon) will fit, just that you need to use a dremel in the aluminum parts at the middle of the chassi and the rear bulkheads..
If you go to the JRX-S forum you will find some pictures of someone who did it.

I don't know, mainly because I already had a lipo (similar to the carbon unit in the pic above) that I dremeled in. If you decide to go this route, take as little off the rear bulkheads as possible. Error on the metal bulkheads as they are more forgiving when dremeled down thinner. BTW, the drivetrain on this car is butter soft. Kinwald used to skip these belts in mod, but in stock and 19T we just loved them to death. So amazingly compliant, even better than the Type-R belts.

BTW, can someone post the differences between US VTA rules and ROAR VTA rules in a simple format?
