I have a question about the temp on a 21.5 lipo combo. I was in nashville last weekend running my fk05, 21.5, trakpower 4900, lrp tc spec. I completly rebuilt the car over xmas(new bearings and everything). Nash is a good size rug around 95x50. I was coming off the track at around 82*. I finally got the temp up to 94 after fully advancing my timing, and changing the profile on the esc to profile 8 (agressive profile). I am running a 104-41 which puts me at a 4.21 with the xray having a 1.7 IR. no heatsink. The run I finally got the temp past 90 was a good clean run with only one accident that stopped foward momentum. Am I missing something here? Shouldn't The motor be getting a little warmer I know that cooler is better, but this seems way too cool. It looks to me that I got some more in the motor that I should be getting.

Part of me wonders if you are getting an accurate reading. Then Im thinkning just be glad that its running cool. Is it keeping up with the field?

Still love this paint job. I never thought orange would look good on the Mustang and it so does.

I wouldn't sweat it, My Pro 2 rarely broke 110.

If you're running a pre-T2 Xray chassis in VTA I've just listed up a like-new one-way diff at http://www.rctech.net/forum/r-c-item...ml#post5338228 if you've been wanting to give one a try. I bought this for the only Xray I ever owned, a 1/12 sedan, that I ended up selling before I ever ran it.

To the VTA 'Gods' :

Is there any possibility we will see other approved 21.5 added to the list.

Technically most 21.5 motors fall under the "other available wind" clause and are ROAR legal "modified" motors as long as their base can/design has met approval.

It sure would be nice for those of us not happy with or for other reasons can't run Novak.

The short answer...we're not dealing with a "mod" motor here, we're dealing with a "spec" motor. Possibly once ROAR start approving other spec 21.5's USVTA will open up the field a bit, but I'm kind of hoping that they don't anyway. As we're seeing out on the track, there IS a difference between motors. Having A spec motor takes a variable out of the equation for everybody and keeps the playing field a bit more level.
