Milton....I would say start with 30wt oil and 14 to 17lbs springs and see how things shake down.

i hope to bring a top notch driver with us next time (Melvin from NEXIS) who needs practice for the birds so maby with a different layout we (4+) can run in a tight pack with the mixture of true VTA and PTA melvin is deadon accureate on his track and always laps everyone 1+ times every heat

cool, can't wait...we were pretty even. bring Melvin... Myron aka mr. bighead needs some competition! lol.

another fast guy had a 27t burshed /lipo with a HIGH fdr but wonce again it puller hard out of the corners
all in alll their cars were ablut .4 sec faster per lap than a true vta car and i can drive very well not the best but better
only thing they do is in the 17.5,brushed/lipo cars the weight is 1533g but that only makes that car heep from flipiong over in the sweeper (unlike mine which flipped several times and i tried almost everything to fix it )
anyways i wish everyone would get on the same level and just drive
i race in 6 different tracks and 5 of them run the VTA rules but the other is by far the biggest /funnest layout for intoor carpet (92x50) and nice people to run with just hate droping a 17.5 in to keep up
fast laps for the PTA main we had at thunder

Tommy Ussery #6 28 8:02.941 15.556
Donald Martin #3 26 8:07.499 14.474

that's a combination of 27t/17.5 lipo with a high fdr and 21.5 lipo with the 4.2 fdr tell me that isn't tight.

I think Justin with some more time on the track and getting your car to handle the high bite that we had sunday you could beat them. the difference between 14.407 and 14.525 is blinking in the wrong corner. but it was cool watching your car bicycle for 20 or 30 feet in the sweeper.

ps I forgot the coolest part was the 3rd qualifer

that says it all...thanks Dirla

also...when you dope your tires are you doing the whole tire or half?

my other TC3/brushed sits around 10mm all around and it used to do the same until I doped the 1st 2 threads on the front tires...it solved my traction roll...Im not sure on the Xray but if that doesnt work Ill share my "SPECIAL" tire sauce with ya on the 18th....it helped TQ alot to pick up his pace

ps...thats not a pop at you Speedster...but it did and my head aint all that big...lol...is it?

When are they changing the 21.5 motor rule so you can run other 21.5's?

ditto ditto !!

The last thing we need is for everybody to think they have to go out and buy a different motor. It's bad enough with the LiPos.

Stay with the Novak 21.5 and just race !!!

Short and high will reduce your grip and help with the traction roll.
