For VTA on asphalt we dont run anything. Paragon is usually worse than not having anything at all.(On asphalt)

Usually if I visit a track and they require a compound that I dont have, there will often be someone that will loan you a bottle. Especially if they dont have any in the store.

A few pages ago some people mentioned using their VTA cars with some pre-1973 stock car bodies for a new oval class. Maybe you can give that a whirl?

I'm tired of running just Oval. I tried to get a bomber class going here but no deal. I may just be building this car just to watch it become another shelf sitter.

RENIO'S RAGU is my tire solution for carpet and asphalt....it holds up on the asphalt when it was 90+ degrees, and holds my car stuck on the carpet for a 8 min main...with no problem...Ive tried the others and they seem to let go after 3-6 min....

I also use it on my offroad racing as well....really good stuff

I have heard other guys from around Nashville talking about the Ragu sauce. As for using tire sauce on dirt. Is it ok if I just give you a dumb look while I think about that?

We had a hard packed blue groove track where we ran slicks and foams. Tire sauce worked great once the groove was worked in. Loose dirt... no sauce, no way.

OK that helps a lot. So it is more like running on asphalt. TY.

Default Drilling rims ?

Hey guys -- years ago (in a prior life when I ran touring cars while oval was in a coma) we always drilled a couple of 1/16" holes in the rims before gluing the tires on them to let air out. Are you doing this with the HPI vintage rims too ?

Thx.

I dont do that to any rims at all, but then again Im not the fastest at my track either. We used to do it to the dirt rims for a better contact patch, but that was then.
