A 21.5 motor is a one time purchase. 2 6-cell packs (to make 3 4-cells) is LESS than or the same as most lipos out there, and they will last a LONG time in this application.

What you guys are doing is working for you, but why should the rest of us change for you? What the majority who follow the spec have found out is that the rules work very well. If you deviate from the rules fine, but don't expect us to accommodate you. If everybody does whatever they want, it's a free for all, and there is no way to let racers know what to expect track to track.

Thats great. I agree. Why did you quote me? I dont need a rule change for the powerplant. I have one that works.

and nobody asked for it to be free so before all the fan boys decide to jump on a simple question you might want to do some more re-reading. I even stated in my original post earlier it was a question, and i had little knowledge on electrics. I even asked to excuse my ignorance on the subject. I seen the rule change at 1 point to allow a lipo battery so all i asked was why couldnt it be used the same way in another application....if it was even possible. So you can get off your soap box and go back down to moms basement.

If everyone loves the rules so much, why are so many of you constantly complaining about them?

Nice. I love threats over R/C cars.

Funny you mention maturity.

The wife questions mine alot because she says I'm 48 years old and the only thing I want to do is play with toy cars every weekend for the last 7 years!

I usually respond that they aren't toy cars they are fine tuned hobby grade scale model racing vehicles that we race for bowling trophies.

That was not a threat. You just seem really uptight about this stuff. Geez.

I know what you mean, being 53 and messing with these things since '89, I've had a explanations to give too. Although I was never that creative.
