Ok, cool. Thanks Shadow. I am assuming that you only need to use the 31mm 6 offset tires/wheels for the Camaro and Cuda? You would use the 26mm 0 offset wheels all around for the Mustangs?

Ok, thanks guys.

Now, the question is Mustang or Camaro? I wish HPI made a 70 Boss Mustang (I don't like the Parma version). I would be all over that.

I agree, I don't understand why they made 2 years that are back to back and very similar.

I had the same dilemma. If I didn't build 1:1 Mustangs for a living I'd be all over that Camaro. It's a crime that HPI doesn't make a '70 Boss 302. If they come out with one I'll be the first kid on the block with a Bud Moore/Parnelli Jones Boss. "If you're under control, you're going too slow!" So, for now it's the Ken Miles #98 '65 GT 350 and I'm going to try and make it look like an R-model.

Mind me asking where?

I used to restore old pre 73 Mustangs here in MD.

Actually met my wife that way- She had a 66 Conv and I had a 69 Conv at the time.

hpi 68 camaro, definitely. Screw the parma camaro, it's very square/blocky/unrealistic looking.

Not that any of those bodies have good aero packages but I feel the hpi maro is the best...but if your a mustang guy go w/ what you like!!! It's all pretty much stangs here with a couple of hemi's and maros. I don't care for either (maro or stang) but like the fact the maro had a legal spoiler. I've also read on here alot of the 'fast' guys are running the maro.

It's a tough choice. I have always been more of a Mustang person. I think it might be good if we all sent emails to HPI saying that this series is taking off and we would love to see a few more TA bodies. These would be the ones I would like to see:

70 Boss Mustang
71 AMC Javelin
68 Mercury Cougar

What do you guys think?

cam should be up by 6pm central
you should be docked 2 laps for ruining that body....or disqualified for that illegal wing you made. Myron also.

but props to the selfcast setup, it is cool...hopefully I'll be able to check it out tonight since I can't make the race.

later.

Alrighty. I think I will go with the Camaro and the chrome 8 spoke wheels with a Gulf-style paint job. I will probably paint the spokes of the wheels orange to match the body paint. Stay tuned....
