If it's not the new speedo, that would be my guess too...Sometimes the factory puts way too much oil on the bearings and once they even put a plastic shim in there. The only time my 7.5 behaved in the manner posted above, I just cleaned out the motor, popped some new bearings in there, and the motor came back to life.

i had the same problem the motor would only run when i gave the car a push and as soon as the car came to a standstill if have to do the same.
Thought it was esc but turned out there was a hassle with the motor.
Swapped another motor in and all is good.

Default Updated User Guides

My User Guides that originally came with my Sphere 2007 and TC ESCs are outdated. Go to the following LRP link to get updated User Guides and Specs for your ESCs. You may well find more detailed info than what you now have.

I have the LRP Sphere TC esc and the fan and the heatsink have fallen off. What is the best way to reattach the heatsink back on?

Contact Team Associated and see if they sell the special heat-transferring tape to reattached the heatsink. This tape also comes in the LRP upgrade kit that includes the add-on heatsink and fan (for the Sphere 2007 version).

Do you guys find that you need to have the fan when using a 13.5 motor? I believe seattle indoor raceway runs 6min?--Al

I use both the LRP Sphere 2007 (no heat sink or fan) and the TC version. Can't tell any difference using a 13.5. ESC temps are in the 80s with both.

Whenever I finally kill the fan on my TC ESC, I probably won't replace it.

Cool check again

Yeah dude! Check the sensor wire to ensure it's fully pluged in.
My Sphere TC ROCKS!
Make sure blue=a; yellow=b; orange=c

try setting #2 @3 instead of 4 and make sure that Throttle Exponential is set to 0, also check that your rear axial is running free and that the bearing aren't binding. This should help cool your esc and motor down abit, i run a 5.5t motor on a small track and my esc only gets to around 50degrees C. If your motors and esc is still getting really hot try driving the car abit less aggressively, this will also help.
