If you are just starting out, do something low-cost. Don't spend a fortune if you don't have to. I would recommend a TC4. They are decent cars for a beginner and much more flexible and forgiving to crashes. At this point, you do not need a top of the line XRAY or Corally.

Khal

You may also check to see if anybody has a good used one for sale. You can save a lot of money by buying used, and if you're starting out, you may not even decide to stay in it that long.

Talking RDX or RDX/PHI

I would suggest a Corally RDX or RDX/PHI i know they are a little more expensive but for the handling these cars win hands down as it will be better for new driver and can take some crashes and they are tough maybe look for standard RDX rather than Phi straight away as these can be found within a reasonable price range.

Dude,

Don't waste your money on a TC4. You'll be sorry. Get the TA05, they're cheap and good. Build it yourself, its easy. You won't regret it.

Dont get a Tamiya unless your ready to fork out a carp load of money, damn blue bling costs more then an arm and leg!

Also make sure ur local track carries parts needed before you buy, or else you'll be stuck in what i call "Tamiya Hell"

With that said, i do run a Tamiya, so no... not a hater

pick up a used T2 or 007 if ur track carries xray parts.
