Default Team Losi XXX-S

Hey,
I just got my Team Losi XXX-S in the mail 2day, and iam pretty excited!
I got it cuz i want to do some touring car racing, but ive been looking on here, and nobody seem to race these cars?
Iam just wondering if these cars are competive???
Ill be racing in a Stock Sedan class (27T brush, 4200 cells, rubber tires).
Also, what are some good tricks to do to make these cars competive against Corrallys, TC5, Hot Bodies cars.
Thanks

I remember this car being heavy. Other than that it is a capable car. I would start with the kit set up and go from there as far as set up goes. I couldnt tell you were to get a "team driver" set up. But the kit set up will get you in the right direction. Good luck!

Ya, the XXX-S is heavy! Compare it to Corallys, TC5s, its like 3 of those cars combined!
Iam been looking around on the net, and Xtreme RC Products makes carbon fiber shock towers, is that a good buy???

There are setups on the losi website. depending on which kit you have there are low roll center blocks that you will probably need, and a mod to the front arm mount that moves it forward that you can do yourself, a higher hole was drilled in the front shock tower(shown on the losi website setups) A black belt conversion was available from losi that freed up the drivetrain as well. I think it was brp? that made a front bumper that will save you a few front arms. As far as weight, use tape instead of the battery strap, trim the rear bumper as it doesn't do much, lightweight electronics, and thats about it for easy weight savings.
