Joliet all my life, Quincy for a few years, then home when I started with Trinity in 91. I'm around 5 mile from leisure. Been to the tracks, and will be running there when I get things caught up here.

As bad as it's been the last couple years, could we be worse ? The new lipos are good too.

Well sir what about the past 3 years when the sport has been going down the toilet. Trinity was still around but not like the old days. Who knows if Trinity can save it but its nice to see someone try. Oh, as for LIPO's, if you've been around the sport long enough to comment about Trinity like you have, then you should know if Lipo's is the direction everything goes, then Lipo's is the direction Trinity will go.

It takes batteries out of the question (we're doing only five minutes as well) In addition, a fellow owner and I built a few rental 12L3's with good stuff in it- one of which was bought the first night! With the crazy costs and changes in TC, and the previous intimidation of 12th scale, this has helped it grow at our track. Above all, the racers are having fun, not spending a ton of cash, and learning about their cars.

By the way... Danimals? the Temmes? You raced in Chicago, too, didn't you?

BTW: Sorry, I know this has nothing to do with the new IB's...
Good to hear that you guys are drumming up some interest in 1/12th scale. Trackside did free racing for 1/12th scale for over a year and we often only had 3 guys racing the class, and the 3 of us would have gladly paid to race...

Yeah, was a CORRA member, then raced at NIRROC until the end. I raced with my dad and was one of the few kids racing 1/12th scale in the area, which is probably one of the major reasons it faded away. All the younger people wanted to play in the dirt.

As far as the Coffee goes. One large cup of Jim's home brewed coffee and I'm wired for a week at the Birds.

Don't forget the coffee pot Jim.

As much as I want to agree with you, the fact is that electric racing was at it biggest and most popular when Trinity was the exclusive distributor of the popular cells. I am sure they are not related, but for sure the exclusive definitely didn't hurt r/c racing.

And if you want buy IB4200s or IB4600s without involving Trinity, buy them from Reedy. :-)
