Default Schottky diode type


iam gonna need a few more schottky diodes and i have pulled mine out of my car,,,but the numbers have rubbed off!!

i have gone 2 the Jaycar website....and i dunno wat iam looking 4 xactly....how many amps?? how many volts ??

surely a electronics shop should sell these types of diodes yes?

You need something around the 35 - 40 volt, 8 - 10 amp. Jaycar, DSE and Altronics only list a 3 amp, RS Components are very helpful if they are in the mood to sell to the public for less than their 10 dollar min cash over the counter limit or if you have a friend that can buy from them for you.

Its much easier just paying the $8 or $9 (usually for 2) and getting the right ones from your local hobby shop.
