Amen to that! We've tried to stick with roar rules, but due to the whole brushless/lipo things that have been gaining popularity, we've had to do our best to integrate them into our racing program. So far...not too bad.
Not to start a big debate..but in short, we allow 13.5 and stock to run together in trucks and tc's... 17.5 and stock in 12th scale.

Lipo's in all 6-cell classes, but still require them to make minimum weight, and right now, we require charging in lipo sacks.

So far, were not getting any complains, so we're pretty happy about that.

That is extremely nice to hear, assuming it will be hard case as well. Do you have an estimate for times, or officialness of it.

No offense guys

actually he ran nimh to add weight to his boat.. so he could actually keep the thing on the water...lipo is too light and make the boats squirrly and easy to blow over.

I think that every track needs to tailor its program to suit their racers. There is no true equivalent for BL and brushed but you have to do the best you can with what is available.

No official information is available. Although I can say that prices per mAh will be the same as the first LiPos to be relased.

Saddle pack cars create a unique challenge because most use battery straps with mounting posts that leave little extra room.

Are internal plugs preferred sot that you can plug the ESC in directly without an extra connector?

Making them fit is the easy part. The hard part is getting racers to accept that 3.7 volts would be the new standard.

Rick, if you take 2 cars, 1 with lipo (3.7v) and 1 with nimh (4.8v) without the same weight requirements...would the performance be the same?
