I will be there for brushed stock. Unless someone proves 17.5 is faster or can at least keep up.
I am going to do my best to have at least a few dozen sets of the stated tire by the 26th. If this is not possible, I will have good stock on something like it. I'll have a reasonable price on all my tires and would love to have your tire business.

We will see. I have yet to run a 17.5 on rubber tire. I just know at the Carpet Nat's they were slower.

But we really will not know which 17.5 is legal for the race as all the 17.5 have a provisional approval.

Yeah, what he said. The 17.5 is no slouch when geared correctly. I personally have seen a 17.5 get to within .16 sec of the current 13.5 track record for the season.

Right now Im thinking the 17.5 will be faster. The reason is that all of our cars have to be at 1525 grams. At carpet nats, you have to weigh in at 1418. Brushless equiped cars cant get that light that I know of... On rubber, you have to put weight in your car anyways so it might as well be a more efficient motor.

Btw, if brushed is faster then Im running it...

It will be interesting to see how the 17.5 runs on rubber tire. I may try a hacker to practice with. But I really like for ROAR to figure out the motor issue before the race. It seems they are draging the feet.

My rubber tire car need very little weight to make weight.

I would not worry about the approval list. the reason we had to do a adjustment is because we did not have good induction readings for the motors. We should have a large enough pool now to get correct numbers and slide them into the BL rules. Fixing the conditional part of the approval.

Why do you say that ROAR is dragging thier feet ? You obviously have a hard on for ROAR, why not be part of the solution, and help out, instead of taking all your shots. I am sure your regional director could use a hand.

Well, it does appear the conditional approvals are about to expire in May

... I'm even wondering what the hold up is......

I think I'll look into that one today.
