Is for sure something different , if you are not used to brushless or havent run bl before , is not the best choice to start with sense the throttle curve is different and it could be hard to control if you are not experinced. Throttle curve is not linear like a brushed motor esc , plus the neutral roll is a lot and easy to over shoot corner if you dont know how to carry corner speed or the car is not setup the right way , but if the need for speed
is what you want GO FOR IT.

the LRP Sphere TC is the smoothest esc out there now !! neutral roll can be easily adjusted, mine is set up that it feels just like a brushed motor.

what motor are you using??

i run the 4.5 and the 3.5 my settings are

mode 1 (lipo) value #1
mode 2( power ) value #1 (smooth ,low traction)
mode 3(initial brake) value #2
mode 4 (automatic brake/drag brake) value #3 or # 4 depending on the track layout

for the 10.5 and the 13.5 motor i bump the power to #5 or #6

sintered rotor?

i would run power at #5 and automatic brake at #3 to start and ee how it feels if the track is wide open and flowing and doesnt require alot of brakes i would go to a lower setting also if you are using a one way go to a lower setting

Try this link http://www.rctech.net/forum/showthread.php?t=193966

lots of input on that speedo.

I run the same profile as Marcos and find it very smooth.

Default TC

I'd have to say that this esc is one of the best I've ever used. I switched to it from one of the earlier GTB's . The TC is super easyto program, very adjustable, and will handle any motor with no thermal issues. The newer version GTB may work as well, but if you are curently using something older than say six months or so then you will surely see improvement.

what about all these esc that fail? people only running 3 batteries then poof! are they goin some thing wrong?( wires soldered too close and esc shorting out?) i want to get one of these for its smoothness but don't want to give up the durablity i have with my mamba max esc.
