????? for you guys out there , my lrp tc spec crap out on me last night , the speedo would start glitching locking up the motor and at the sametime overheating the motor to a point of no return
has anybody had this problem , i heard drivers at cleveland were having this problem or similar to this problem with the lrp tc spec.

Yes, you can run Novak-Motors with LRP-ESCs and vice versa.
I also had both ESC and it think, if you only look at performance, you will have to choose LRP (or Nosram). It has a better feel, power programmes, easier to adjust.
On the other hand: i burnt 3 LRPs in 6 month and drive now Novak without any problems. I rather give now away 1/10 of a second per lap, but i don't have to install new ESCs all the time.

Default CS update

LRP update...
well after two months of waiting, LRP service finally sent me my original LRP TC spec back (warranty repair/exchange whatever they did)
Total run 3 or so packs...
Total enjoyment from the LRP product a big fat ZERO.

ohh..just another side note....LRP sent the speedo back to the wrong address....UPS had to track me down...completely wrong city.

anyone want to buy it? going up for sale in the threads in a few minutes..
I don't even want to use it....completely disgusted with LRP. this is the last time I will deal with them...

Make sure the sensor wire is plugged in all the way. That is what makes the LRP stay in Brushless mode I've been told. If not your motor overheats, stutters, and smokes. I have both LRPs and GTBs. They work great. I returned a GTB to Novak recently and their customer service is tops in the industry.

I never had a novak but I do have all LRPs Sphere brushless, Sphere Competition and Sphere TC. TC is the heaviest but has more braking power and more responsive vs. the rest, Sphere Competition has smoother feel and the Regular Sphere is also smooth but its a little to smooth so I sold it. haha

One thing I like about the LRP it never did termal even my motor gotten really hot at 200 degrees (being a newbie I didnt realize I have a wrong gearing)

I've tried them both and I prefer the LRP simply because it is a lOT easier to program. I will agree though that Novak has better customer service.

I am on the fence on this one as well. This is going to be my first brushless system after a looong break from electrics. From what I have read so far, the LRP is the shitzits on performance and the Novak is the bomb on customer service. Well, is the performance of the Novak that far off from the LRP? I am no pro driver, so I don't think I would notice it anyway. But, is there really that big of a difference?

speaking from experience.
new racer = GTB.....not because of performance differences....GTB is just as fast as all other...and vice versa...
but better Customer Service is a nice thing to have in your back pocket as a racer...unless you have $$$ to buy extra speedos...to keep you running while you wait extended periods of time for LRP to do something for you....

All up to you at the end of the day....read thru the post and convince yourself of which way to go.

Have fun racing....and keep the brushless movement going!!!!

I laugh in the face of anyone who claims they got beat by a better ESC. LRP VS NOVAK is matter of taste, neither one is dominate, and i would suspect that othere then bench testings no one could produce on track proof that one performs better then the other, i chassis dyno maybe the only way to prove one over the other...

HEY? why dont we have chassis dynos in RC? At my club about 6 years ago a did have a home made chassis dyno. Was kinda kool but was not able to handle mod motors. only 540 silver cans
