Thats right......

The way we intended to do the motors for Modified is easy, just like Vegas or the RROC, if the motors meet the basic guidelines of IFMAR motor rules, they are legal. These

Now, for the 10.5 and 13.5 Foam Tire classes, the manufactures must have an officially approved Mod BL motor on the IFMAR list, AND the motors have to be currently available to the general public. Meaning you and I can buy them from our local hobby shop.

So if a Manufacture has 13.5 or a 10.5 "and" have them IFMAR approved "And" currently have them available for purchase in hobby shops, there is no problem.

Does one at Trackside qualify as "available at our local hobby shop"?

LOL, Thanks Rick, no has to be available to any hobby shop, not just one special box sent to Trackside to.

I'm typing up some basic guidelines for the track to post as the "motor" rules. It's very simple really.

OK. At last year's race, the revised Trinity 19T motor was allowed because they sent some to the track to sell. That was last year's definition of available.

Really. Didn't realize that. I'll be on the phone with Scotty on my Drive home tonight, hopefully we can get it officially posted soon. I know everyone is anxiously awaiting something.

The IB4200s can't be illegal as the new improved versions just have improved reliability. The shrink and cell is the same as previous IB4200s.

As there has been a cell shortage we finally see that the sitaution is getting better.

We will make sure that Scotty has IB4200s and IB4600s available for this race.

rick

why do you have to be so antagonistic. last year it was your 3200 lipo now this year you are spouting about these 4200s....

the rules will be the same for everyone, (whatever they are).....dont worry.....
you seem to have an issue with something, dare i say i chip on your shoulder???? if you have a problem with the way this race is run, why not just say it......

I have a question which is not written in the rules.

For the 13.5, 10.5 and Mod Foam classes the rules states that "ANY" motor approved by the rules, but in the rules it only states brushed motors so are the Orion, LRP and Speed Passion motors going to be allowed or not?
