Scotty and his crew did an incredible job. The brushless motors were a great equalizer. Nobody had a car that was noticeably faster than the others down the straight. At the brushed races there are always a few cars that are just scary down the straight.......thankfully that was not the case last week.

Bob and Charlie are as good as it gets for company representitives, and I would like to thank them and the rest of the people at Novak for the effort that is put into this race on there end.

For those of you that could not attend this race.....you truly missed out on 1 of the best racing experiences ever.

can you post your set-up, thanks

Scotty, great job on the first all brushless race of 2008. It was so nice not to have to be working on motors, just your set up. Big props to the Doctor for his victories this weekend and his help with set ups.

The week started out alittle rough since certain people took it upon themselves to relocate there pitspots without permission. But the race was still a great week away from work.

Great job again Scotty and crew.

As far as I know Josh still has a great relationship with Kyosho.

The car he raced at the Novak race is simply a fast, easy to drive touring car that gets abused on a daily basis. Anyone who visit's Cefx Raceway is welcome to take a closer look at Josh's car as it is on display and not locked up as one might suspect
When a group of us went out for dinner either Thursday or Friday night, Josh explained that his contract with Kyosho is indeed done, and he's looking around to see what fits him best. He actually had three TC's in his pit at the race, and ended up racing his Kyosho because not only was it fast, he was comfortable with it. Believe it or not, he actually put a few packs through his FK'04 that he won the 2004 Carpet Nationals with. He said he literally took it off the wall, put the brushless stuff in it, and ran it. The car ran 10.0 lap times when the hot lap for the day was 9.8.

Thank you very much Scotty and the entire Trackside crew for putting on a fantastic event. Even though most of qualifying made me want to tear my hair out, I still had a great time. As one of the people who was initially on the fence about brushless, I can say that it is a great thing for our hobby and it is here to stay. I never want to take it out of my car!

I agree

I ran terrible in both classes i entered but i must say it is awesome to not have to spend the time tearing down motors and doing all the work on them.

I hope the all brushless format is used in the future at all events. Scotty made a great call . there was plenty to awesome racing too because of the brushless motors.

The Cyrul/Blackstock show in Mod and 10.5 was awesome and both guys had very good cars and drive amazingly.

Great Race !!

Also gotta give my props, as always, I had the BEST time, thanks to Scotty, Boomer, the crew & all our friends there(despite having to drive through a snowstorm on the way up & tornados on the way back, lol). And I think I have a new favorite steak house(Prime Quarter ROCKED!). And I also loved just figuing out a good gearing & leaving the motor alone the rest of the event, just focusing on set up & driving. THAT'S how racing should be, & I hope the other big races follow Scotty's example.....

Thanks, I was just trying to see if the same issues are/where occuring with the new batch of cells and the paranoia about NiMh has died down.

Grizzbob - Glad to run into you again. Did you get caught in the tornado in IL? or where there more out by you? The tornado in IL actually touched down about 5 minutes from my house, and destroyed the local apple orchard!

Anybody know where a person can get a look at the qualifying, with lap times?

Thanks,
-Bob

www.liverc.com, click on the Novak race and then on Race results. Every piece of evidence should be there.

Sounds like Scotty should bring the Novak format to Las Vegas...

And da Mini's.
