Default Need advice, re Pinons.

I have a old Bolink Pro 10 & it has a a ture 48 pitch spur gear...

My question is will the Tamiya AV pinon work on it OR is that a different pitch? Has anyone had anything to with the tamiya pinons???

Thanks for looking.

Tamiya pinions do not work with 48 pitch gears.

Default Cool...

Thanks for that... I thought that they might be a different pitch (gap).

I now know to keep away from the tamiya pinons.

The Tamiya AV pinions are 0.6mod (metric), have nothing whatsoever to do with 48dp (imperial), but are pretty common on most entry-level Tamiya cars now.

Confusingly, Tamiya have just started to put 48dp gears on the TRF501X and Durga buggies, so some Tamiya 48dp pinions are now available although it is clearly stated on the packaging that they are.
