Default Mamba Max esc + Novak motor?

Could someone tell me if the Mamba max esc will work together with the Novak 13.5 motor? I am looking at options for next year, and this looks like a pretty cheap route, if it will work.

Tried it. It's only a half-smart move if you already own the Mamba Max and need to run a legal 13.5t motor. Don't buy the Mamba Max to use with a Novak 13.5. It's not worth the $40 saving. Get the LRP TC Spec instead.

Also, some sponsored drivers are going to come on here and tell you either that a) it works fine, or b) it will work fine when the infamous firmware update comes out for the Mamba Max in a few days. A), it certainly doesn't for me, and b) they told me that a year ago and still haven't delivered.

If you have the Mamba and need the 13.5, take a look at the new Trinity duo motors. They can run sensored and sensorless esc's. I'm probably going to get one when they come out since I do have a GTB and Mamba, it will be nice to be able to switch the motor back and forth. Street price will be around $85

Castle has always said when they have a program that works perfectly they will have it out and not before. They have never said anything but that. For those that are waiting for the new program, all I can say it is worth the wait. Thats all I can say.

Right now I run the Orion 13.5 fine with excellent results. Not 100% perfect but it is very close.

Ive heard a few ppl run novak motors with no problems, but ive also heard otherwise. Why not go with the orion vortex motor, i have a 7.5 strapped to my mamba max, orion 3200 & premium power 4700 lipos, it runs like a dream, i have never had stuttering or cogging with mine...

He mentioned the novak 13.5, I take it he wants a stock equivilant. Does orion make one? If so, I may get that instead of a duo.
