I recently picked up a new Trakpower and have been running it back to back with one I got 6 months ago that has probably 100+ cycles on it. I havent noticed one outperforming the other. Thats not very scientific, but, the laps & times dont change.

If the performance ever does start to degrade I would probably just buy a new one and sell the oldest one as needed. Based upon what I've seen where I race Trakpowers have an advantage over the ubiquitous Orion cells in 13.5 stock.

another vote for Trakpower 4900's.

I have 3, but I really only use 2, I got the third to run in an hour long enduro against nitro cars. wired them all in PARALLEL and in testing it worked great. I ended up breaking a front C hub in qualifiing and then broke the spare aswell, so never got to run the final

I use a Supernova Competition charger at 1C and will never go back to nimh batts, or brushed motors...

Guess I will try out both the Trakpower and the Core and see which one I like best.

In general for me, I usually use two packs and each will see about 150 cycles per year. So if the packs last me two years (or 300 cycles each) I will be satisfied. By then I will probably be looking to buy the next generation of equipment anyways.

I'm curious to see how they perform with a MM7700 or a 4.5T brushless.

I'm fairly positive both packs use cells made by Enerland, so I would expect them to perform (or not) about the same.

Syndrome, What is your problem guy, seriously! what company are you looking for sponsorship from? It is quite obvious from your post you don't like Enerland cells, Please enlighten my as to whom you want a free ride from.

Work great with the MM 7700. Well I had to put everything in the minimum with the esc, or the car would fly

I drive mainly in 1:8 scale track and I am using now the 6900 motor because the combination of Mambas and Trakpower are very powerful.

just take atention to the temperatures of motor and cells. I drive them for 9~10 minutes. The guys with 5 NiMh cells cannot make the 5 minutes on that track with a 3,5T motor

Not sure where you're getting that idea from, but I've run one trakpower lipo since february 07 for all my racing (except one club which didn't allow them) and it performs now as good as it did when I first bought it !

i'm on somewhere around 130 cycles now on it.

About the "new 25C cells", they are the same as the old.

Flightpower tests alot and they started to notice the packs are very capable of 25C continuous, so they changed the labels.

So there is no need to worry if you get the packs wich have a 20C or 25C label, it is just new info, same battery.
