The Tekin R1 pro can handle 3S and the redline motor line includes a 278 2.5 turn 7800kv as well as a 2.5 turn 9000kv motor that when used with 2S will out spin the 5700 at 3S. Even better!
3s lipo?thats like 2 6 cell packs NiMH thats too heavy or heavier...7700 less cells packs the power with lighter weight, apparently

Tim,

Are you taking the mickey?

Just buy whichever one looks pretty. That's the best one for your needs.

Default Max

I have been running 3s lipo on the 7700 with no problems. I think nic case was running 4s with the 7700 in his drag car and it was crazy fast. If you have a load on it and gear it up it won't explode . If you were to run it without a load it would probably explode.

So I can run 9 cells 3700 GPs with the mamba 7700 system and have no problem? How long will it last using, more cells than the manufactuer recomends ,before something burns out?I think the rotor will burn out everntualy..or do you think it will last forever?(on 9 cells)

I know what you mean about it being under load.If under no load it will over rev and break/explode

Default New record- Nic Case 161.76 mph

I was at the event and saw this 161.76 mph run:

Tons of pics of the car here:

http://fastestrc.blogspot.com/2008/1...ph-by-nic.html

Nic used a narrowed Schumacher Mi-3
Wheel base = ~21”
Width= ~ 6.5”

The Body is inspired by a popular full size Streamliner.
FlightPower's 12s 4500’s
The Motor is a Neu 1521
Using a Castle HV-110 speed control
