Fastest electric - MPH - Modified Motor
What is the fastest electric mod. motor? How many MPH can it reach?
A friend of mines has a Trinity D5 8 turn double - it can reach speeds around 40ish MPH.

I think the fastest with a normal mod was 96mph in a TC3 with many a cell (24 i think) they destroyed lots of motors in the process but had mike reedy on hand to wind some more.

I wonder, could you use some sort of capacitor to boost voltage, to make a speed run car?

Hey
loony and 8x2 motor should be going quicker than 40mph ..

Yes, like on the cyclone, only larger.

you could use a cap, but two problems arise, you'd need some way of switching it on probably a relay if you want to do it near terminal velocity
and also the size and length of time you get the power for is fairly short.

yeah ..
i dont know the exact mph / km/h conversion .. but i know 10x2 can do 85 - 90 km/h. thats with pretty tall gearing

Do a search on Ebay for "D5" under electric remote control cars. You'll get auctions from a guy that winds custom drag motors with Neo magnets. Be prepared to pay for them.
