Steering servo ??

I see that Futabe has discontinued the 9550 servo that a lot of us use for steering on our TC.What have some of you guys been using ??.I personally like Futaba or Hitec.I see Futaba has a 9551 which Tower offers as a replacement.Anyone using it ??.

I like and use the Futaba s9451 servo.

The 9551 is the new, i think is Brushless motor inside of it. So if you want to use a Low-Profile servo in your sedan, have to find a 9550 from an online store that still has one in stock, or get teh KO-2413 low profile servo or wait for the new 9551...

But if not, like samstheman2 said, the S9451 regular sized servo would work great! and itsonly $80 and imo is teh best servo out for that specs!

I have used the low-profile KO servo this year in my TC and like it thus far. Last year I used a JR 9000S which was awesome because of its transit speed.

I have to use a low profile servo to keep it inside the chassis. My car has taken some good licks to the side and with my luck i will destroy a standard size one.Right now i have a JRZ590M,but i like to have a spare and i will go with a Futaba cause i have the alum. servo arms for them.I will wait for this 9551.It should be coming soon.Do i need a BL servo ? probably not,but i do like futaba.

BTW i got a smokin good deal today from a very good friend.I sold all my stuff 8 months ago and here i go agian.

New (1 race only) TC5
GTX esc
Futaba 3PK radio
113ip rec.
JR z590m steering servo
New foams all around
New painted body
All for $300
I passed on a few deals here on RC Tech and i am glad i did.

Futaba will release the 9551 here soon that is the replacement for the 9550. Pretty much the same servo from what I am told.

In my sedan I use the BLS451. It has a brushless motor in it. Barry Baker used it to win the Roar Carpet Nats. Great Servo!
