Default brushless. which one?

what is the best system to run on 2s lipo in my yokomo MR4TC-SD? asphault track with a combo of tight and high speed stuff.was thinking possibly the new LRP TC with the X11 3.5 motor or the orion 3.5 motor. im a LRP fan, but would be willing to get a novak. please dont tell me what you run currently. i want real facts about which is better.

I like the Novak.
Its got all the available speed from slow to fast you could ever ask for and all with in the same compatibility. 2 sintered rotor options. The GTB comes in a 2nd speed spectrum version and they both come with an optional fan and capacitor. Its reliable and has the smoothest throttle response of the 3 different brands I have tried. There Tech support sets the highest standard that all companies should follow, and there warranty services is one of a kind with there innovative trade up option.

Novak is the highest standard in the RC industry. Available anywhere and respected through out the industry as the one to out perform.

Novak is the cutting edge and leader in quality. Do your self a favor. Run Novak.

For a serious racer or just to play in the street I choose Novak.
No brain'er.

Default key thoughts

if you're in the states ...go with Novak...their customer service is the better of the two...
LRP US customer service sucks when it comes to the brushless units...and this is speaking from experience not once but two bad experiences with them.

Novak responds quickly and they honor their brushless warranties. Not one bad experience with a Novak GTB.

Novaks in my experience are more durable overall.

I switch my speed controls every 4 months or so.

read thru the LRP thread and see all the experience then read thru the NOVAK thread and compare.and you'll see for yourself.

I've run the Novak, LRP and GM and I think the LRP is the better out of the three. It's the smoothest, it runs the coolest and it's the easiest to fit in to a TC. Novak definitely have the best customer service, I don't run them in my TC because of the many failures I've had with them.

Thats what i run atm and i think it's the best combo i've run. The novak motor with the heat sink sleeve is the coolest running motor out there. At my state titles my motor was consistently the coolest running motor by about 10 degrees C.

but its larger than the LRP ESC, which makes a problem in tight spaced shaft drive cars like my yokomo.

if at all possible stay away from LRP...
I've got another bad LRP speedo, TC spec ....this one after two battery packs...
and as everyone advised check it with another motor...so went and bought another 13.5...and sure enough the darn speedo is the prob.
[email protected]#$#$g LRP ...their stuff is junk.

and I know that when i send it in..it will be at two months before I get a replacement...
with every overseas shipment into the LRP distribution point..the warranties take second place to sales orders.

I've never had a prob with a GTB....I'm going back as soon as I can come up with a few hundred again.

I have been running the Mamba system for almost a year now with no problems. I use Mamba bushless 4600's 5700's and Orion 13.5 and all work great. I run touring with the 13.5 and offroad with the 4600 and 5700.

Before you complain try sending it in..i sent mine and had it back in two weeks ..service seemed great to me.The lrp has the best feel and adjustability but thats my opinion.

complain!!!
I'm not complaining...I'm stating a fact...
last time i sent it in...they waiting 1 1/2 month to even return my calls...
then they told me they weren't going to replace it...
the one before that...i waited over a month for a replacement.

of course I'll send it ...
and wait...then sell it off as soon as the replacement gets here. LRP just f##@#g sucks.
in the mean time I'll have to either buy another speed control or just not race...
not everyone has $500 bucks to throw at electronics in two weeks.
