Default Sigma build

Finall got to the shocks, You get several differnt valves that you can use but I started with the what they tell you. These shocks are small, but threaded and well built. The biggest thing is to make sure the piston valves are smooth with no flash. I followed Kawadas instructions and had no problem with the way they felt after building and making sure there was no air in them. They then went on the chassis, now it's starting to look like a racer !! I have built this with-out option parts and I feel that anyone that buys this car should start this way. I know that I should be pushing options but for the money this kit gives you a lot. I will sell this kit to let someone else give their opinions about how it handles and the set-ups that they use. I feel that an un-biased opinion is the best way to go. I will post some more pics tonight and I do look for opinions.

Hi guys,

This tread seem a little quite recently. Anyway I have order the light weight top deck and the high traction rear shock tower for my Sigma from Evolution few weeks back. Their service was amazingly fast, I place my order and managed to get my stuff in 3-4 days and I am from Singapore.

Anyway I will keep you guys posted on my results with the Sigma.

I have raced my Sigma twice on Tarmac for the last 2 month and find the Sigma performance was great, the acceration was good and the car was fast. My average lap time was about 0.4 sec faster than the other racer running EVOIII, XRay, 414M.

For the 1st Race I was running the car in stock form with some adjustment to the car geometry - ie roll centre and ackerman.

I was fast during the qualifying clocking some very fast laps, I TQed the first 2 qualfying but unfortunately lost the TQ to one of the regular Tamiya guy driving the 414M (this track is more like a home track for my local Tamuya driver). In the 1st Final I finished 5th due to some motor problem but managed to finished 2nd and 1st in the last 2 final runs. Overall I finished 2nd on points due to the bad run from the 1st final.

For the 2nd race, same track but traction are not as good, laptime is about 0.5 sec slower than the last race. I was running my Sigma with the new top deck, high traction rear shock tower and chassis stiffner, same setup from the first race expect for the rear shock position.

With new parts, I can feel the car more stiffer and react on suspension tunning more obvious. I also seem to have better traction in the rear due to the new shock mounting position. Overall the car feel about the same.

Just like the 1st race, my average laps time are still a little faster and I managed to secure TQ. In the first final, bad luck strike on me again when my tyres came off from the wheel (bad glueing..hehe) and I finished 5th. 2nd and 1st for the last two run just like the last race?/?

Overall result still the same as the last race - 2nd on points........

2 race same results, but overall I am very pleased with the performance on the Sigma and will keep you guys posted on my next race. Btw if any of you are interested in the setup I am running let me know.

Happy Racing
