Do you know what is the difference between:
ORI11548 - 4200 SHO High Volt 6,0 Volt 5 cells
and
ORI11549 - 4200 SHO Team 6,0 Volt 5 cells

Price is the same.
What time and avg volt do they have?


BTW EddieO is it true that cells for LRP 4200 are produced by IB?

High Volt typically have more voltage (1.24+) but slightly less runtime (410sec ish)
Team have max runtime (455 ish) and slightly less voltage(1.23+)

give or take...

I'm not EddieO but LRP celss are IB, many cells are (or at least were) IB in fact.

There is no longer a company called Peak as of the end of the year. Rick Howart was in charge and is now with Reedy.

Can anyone from the Team advise the best method for looking after these cells?
  • Charge Delta/peak (mV/cell) =
  • Charge Rate (Amps) =
  • Cell Temperature at Peak (F/C) =
  • Discharge rate (Amps) =
  • Discharge cut-off (V/cell) =
  • Storage Capacity after use (mA) =

It's been a while since I've run NIMh cells but if I remember correctly it is:
Charge Delta/peak (mV/cell) = .3
Charge Rate (Amps) = 6
Cell Temperature at Peak (F/C) = 100*
Discharge rate (Amps) = 30
Discharge cut-off (V/cell) = .9vpc
Storage Capacity after use (mA) =500

Hope it hepls. Maby Joe can confirm this but I think that I'm close.

I had been doing the following:
Charge Delta/peak (mV/cell) = 5
Charge Rate (Amps) = 5
Cell Temperature at Peak (F/C) = 100*F
Discharge rate (Amps) = 30
Discharge cut-off (V/cell) = .9vpc
Storage Capacity after use (mA) =1000

But have lost some runtime and the punch of the pack seems to drop off pass the 2 minute mark. I had heard to do this below; the packs need to run a little hotter to get the best results from them:
Charge Delta/peak (mV/cell) = 10
Charge Rate (Amps) = 5
Cell Temperature at Peak (F/C) = 116*
Discharge rate (Amps) = 30
Discharge cut-off (V/cell) = .9vpc
Storage Capacity after use (mA) = 500

Your thoughts?

The word on the UK version of RCTech is that the Orion 4200 cells are in fact GP3700 cells!

Pound has it pretty good. I would store them with more charge though (especially if you are not using them weekly). Maybe 2000 mAH.
