If this is true about the new shipment policy. Then the manufacturers will need to reformulate the batts not to self discharge until it is completely dead.
This might be a good thing for anybody paying for batts since it will ensure more stable and reliable batts.

The below quote is taken from REd RC Web Page on the 11/03 . If the above quote is correct and the article is correct ? Please can you clarify one or the other as there appears to be a slight conflict with the interpretation of this

These are the first cells to be actually made by Team Orion themselves and they promise to deliver great power and long run times,

The way it is written is meant in the same way that most manufacturers 'make' their own products, they don't in most cases physically manufacture it, they have another party, a lot of times in Asia, 'making' the parts to their design. The way it is written is to emphasise that they didnt just buy an off the shelf battery, put a label on it and write great claims which a lot of you find hard to believe. They had the cell 'actually made' specifically for them to their spec, they just didnt physically put the cell together.

I'm sure Team Orion will clarify it all next week or so when they release the full information on this new cell.

Yeah...whatever

I am sure the batteries will be excellent as all other Orion products have been....I just don't buy that they are manufacturing cells.

No, just a new way to do Quality Control. This is how they now measure capacity in the Far East. See, this cell took 4244 mAh.

Now you did it! All the guys from the LiPo threads are going to refuse to buy Energizer batts now because Engergizer won't them the the address of the factory where they are made...

Is it possible Sanyo is back in the game? They have a very good cell in the Mignon/AA size (Eneloop) what have no selfdischarge and very high performance. Why not also in the Sub-C size again?

Kyosho bought Orion some Months ago, maybe that is the Reason of the "expanding" Team Orion and for the new Cells.

Kyosho have, and that know we all, a lot of Ressources ... It's not so unlikely that they bought a "small" factory or something like else and maybe they're fetched some good Workers which know how a Cell have to work :P

Since that, they have a Factory, good Workers, Oscar and so on... ^^

And know, Kyosho sells them under the Name "Team Orion", because Team Orion Cells seems for the Mainstream of the People better then Kyosho Cells (Only by listening ^^).

Maybe, this is true? I dont' know ... but i can believe that SINCE kyosho bought Team Orion, for Team Orion self i think this would be to expensive. ^^
