unless you are running mod the drop off on the ib 4200's shouldn't effect you. On the latest cells we have been dead shorting them after traying them down to 0v per cell and they have actually gotten better

Don't be scared of the nimh, but I would try to hold out until the 4600's get a little time on them, should be about 3-4 weeks before they are out in abundance

the lipo's throw the weight off on the car, so other than that and they are a little more difficult to mount. There aren't any drawbacks if you have a class that runs them

Would I have any trouble mounting the Orion lipos in the Cyclone WCE? I assume some strategically placed weight would solve the weight problem.

you are right about placing the weight, but you will have to ask that in the cyclone thread.
