Raw individual cell are rather cheap, but it takes a large amount of time and money to go through cases and cases of cells just to find the best and match them with others. This is what you pay for, that and the pretty packaging, advertising, etc.

If your just bashing/playing in the street or a parking lot, buy cheap. For Racing (especially Stock class) you need the best you can afford to be competitive.

i agree with pops if ya just want some cheap batteries for bashing they would probly be fine, but they will most likely hold you up in racing.
we don't have radio shack over here, so i have no idea about these batteries really.
