Default Team Associated RC12L5

I read in Xtreme RC Car magazine, they asked Team Associated if they were making a new 12th scale, and they said the Team Associated guys smirked and there was abrupt silence... That could mean something. So let's hear the rumors, news, spy shots... ANYTHING!!!!!

No need for a 12L5. Have you seen the Hotbodies Cyclone??

Seen it (the cyclone that is)...I'd rather go with my Darkside Mx2 or the pretty new BMI DB12. Though I must say the battery strap looks cool on the HB.

I've been told that they are working on a new car (which I saw some of the protyped changes, but everything was still in testing) but they're always working on a new car

Using that logic, there would be no need for any company to ever make a new car, because a totally unrelated competitor just came out with a new car...

I look forward to seeing if they come up with anything new, maybe lowered pods, brushless access, something different.....

All 1/12th scales are related. It is like a family tree that never forks and every few branches the leaves think they started a new bush. unless the basic rules change there will be no new concepts in 1/12th scale only refined versions of previous designs.

that is Bob Stellflue's car and hes been running his 12L4 like that for a while now. He simply is using what looks like 2 center shocks in place of damper tubes

Whew...thats good news! Micro shocks would be a nightmare for normal racers to keep operating properly. Most racers never maintain thier micro shocks. You need to keep up with replacing the foam volume compensator and build them consistantly to get equal rebound and consistant performance.

Damper tubes or damper plates are easier to build and much more consistant.

Sean C from AE is running the new 12l5 here at Cleveland. He was hoping it will be availiable in 2 months but there were still many things to complete.
