There are a lot of features that you cant really see on here that are dialed. For instance look at the center shock. It is actually a threaded shaft so you can adjust shock length without taking the shock off. Just use a turnbuckle wrench.

I have tried the one dampener tube on my car and got chewed out for it too. How funny now.

I like the new front end...should take care of the uneven arms issue, be more accurate in adjusting ride height, and be universal left to right with the lower arm.

you should of seen the other prototype that I wasn't allowed to take pictures of. I have to thank Bob for allowing me to take pictures of that one. let's just say the "other" car was a serious departure in normal associated design. bob has some great ideas. lets hope thunder tiger lets him build it. I didn't get any particulars on release. it could be 6 months from now or next month. but bob did say the front end was designed to be either sided. so you don't have all onesided arms from breaking them in the sweeper. and the tplate was y shaped so you could move the motor futher foward in the pod to put a bigger pinion on and not hit on the center screw. it did do very well in stock with cochren putting it 5th in stock "A" you can't go by bob's finish as he had the "other" car. still some very forward thinking from associated.

I like the center damper idea, if the piston is centered it should have the same dampening either way. The offset springcups really help, they may find there way into 1:10 oval racing since most Micro VCS shocks have the springs really bound up. The Bottom end of the shock where you normally just screw in a ball cup looks excessive. I just use Durbo heavy links to gain extra freedom of movement and quick removal of the shock. The adjustable shock tower is good too. No more using spacers like on my CRC 3.2, but that is an off the self item for oval racers, no R&D needed there.

The frontend looks changed I wonder how that compares with the new CRC front end or the switch to IRS lower arms.

To be honest, I am already looking to buying a DB12R but I may just hold off and buy the upper pod plate and convert my MX2 to having one dampener tube/shock.

Funny thing was the car was fine the night we ran the club race. That is the way I ran it that night with one damper tube. I did end up third that night with an "ill handling car", also with my servo flat on the chassis till the main event when I had to change the servo out cause it got knocked loose.

Just an FYI, the very first car with a damper tube (Trinity Revolver 12) only had one as well.

Looking at the hardware, I belive this may be the 12L5 (RC12R, Dropping the "L ")

Check out those links!!!! massive and better than the ballcup links.
Ball cup links get loose after a while.

I see a alot of new stuff and the plastic stuff is molded. Given that the parts are molded not milled, I would say the production has already started.
