Tamiya 11T is good for running Tamiya races.....for your money there are a lot of other machine wound motors which perform better. Try something like the Yokomo S Pro motors...or Atlas Neo S motors which are usually fairly reasonably priced.

In the long run it may be better to get a lathe to true your motors. Performance will drop quickly if you simply run the motor with no maintenance. The lower the turn....the faster the performance drops. With a 9T motor you would be looking at around 4 packs and the motor will start to run slower.

It may simply be worth taking your 13T to have the comm trued by some of the shops in MK...that would be a lot cheaper!

I have heard they normally charge around the HK$30 region...you would need to change the brushes also.

Of course this depends on the current condition of the commutor...not all armatures can be trued...but if you have had it since new....and you have gone through say 2 sets of brushes...there should be some life left in it.....without seeing the motor it is difficult to give an exact answer.

i have actually never had the brushed changed on it. Brushed are quite expensive right??? I dont really understand how it all works though. I also have this old motor that is i beleve a 15T. I used to run it untill it started make a really nasty clicking sound. I havent used it since. I dont really know much about the motor because it was given to me. If i got that rewound or watever its call, sorry would it be any better cause that motor did have alot of power before it started make the sound.???
