I would keep the delta setting low and check the temperature of the cell carefully. These high-capacity consumer AA's don't tend to respond well to being fast charged like a sub-C, so I would do a 1/2C charge (1A for a 2000mAh).

Increase the delta or decrease the charge rate if you have problems with false peaks.

You also tend to have problems with the quality of contact you get with the spring terminals on the cell buttons when using high amp rates.

According to what I was told. The nimh's have a peak setting of 5mv per cell. So it depends how you charge these AA's. If you charge 2 @ once, the setting will be 10mv and so on....Also I dont charge my AA's @ more than .5 amps. Works great.

Good luck!

yeah thanks guys, i am using the Duratrax ice, and its in per cell for mv

also i was only going to do .5 amp

i have tryed a bit in the past and learned not to go more than .5amp

i have a 4 cell holder. so just was setting it to:

nimh, 4 cell, 2000mah , .5amp charge, etc...

When i tryed 5mv per cell or 6mv per cell, it just falsed peaked all the time.

I am finding that about 8mv percell is working the best at the moment

but wanted to know other peoples opinion???

Default batt

having the same problem with ice charger and my 2200 AA transmitter battery. 11.8 volts according to the voltage meter on the radio but if i connect it to the ice it indicates low voltage and it will only accept 565mah on 1amp setting....

try 0.5amp charge rate , and 7 or 8mv per cell peak detect setting.
also set peak delay to 2 mins.

keep an eye on temp tho, as i geussing differant brands of AA's might need dif peak mv setting to get the batts fulll without over heating or false peaking.

I'm charging up my 5 cell AA receiver packs, they are 2000mah and I'm using 1.5 amps, seems fine to me...
