Default What Brushless 13.5 Motor?

Hi I need some help please

I have just purchased the Novak GTB "Spread Spektrum" and I would like to know what the best 13.5 motor would be?

Your thoughts would be greatly received

The LRp x11 motor is awsome and it has loads of punch compared to the novak 13.5 in my opinion.

Jamie,
Thanks for the usefull info, I run on a fairly small carpet track so we need loads of punch out of the bends, so in your opinoin the LRP is good for you have you seen how the Speed Passion motors look against the Novaks?

There are two Novak 13.5's. The EX13.5 and the SS Pro 13.5. The SS Pro has a bigger bearing on the front endbell and a sintered rotor.

I can tell you that at my local track about 75% or more run the Novak 13.5 SS Pro.

The Novak motors have proven to be very reliable unless you overgear them. Since you will be using a Novak GTB ESC, the thermal failsafe will kick in prior to toasting the motor. If you use a non-Novak motor, you won't have any thermal failsafe for the motor.

If you track allows 13.5 to run in the stock class, get a Novak, you won't be disappointed. Additionally, Novak's warranty support is far better than other companies.

The Novak EX13.5 uses the large bearing. I believe Novak does not use the small bearing anywhere anymore.
