Wheels
I want to stock up on wheels soon for racing and I like the look of the dish style/velocity. I saw a company b4 that sold that style in an 4 or eight pack, and you could get them in black too I think. Any info on this will be appreciated as well as who makes a long lasting true running wheel?

That was probably OFNA. They have them in black, yellow, and then a semi-clear wheel.
Tamiya has 4 packs, if i remember right, and OFNA has 8 wheel packs.

I have used the OFNA rims and so far I am not impressed. They don't run true and have a tendency to shatter if they get a good hit. Then again what can you expect for that price.

Matt - I have heard other people say they shatter under a hard hit also. That is the only reason i have not ordered any.
Buda - If your looking for a good deal on tire combos, check out KTHobbies.com.

Hey, check-out speedtech's personal line of wheels. That's probally your best bet. They're 24mm dish(white only), they come in a four-pack, they're cheaper in price vs. other quality dish wheels and they're an awesome company. What's five dollars to spend on a four pack of wheels, it cost that much to eat at taco bell during the break between the heats and the mains!

Been using the speedtechrc rims, NICE... I and a few other local racers give them a beating and they really do hold up. I honestly don't worry about wasting tires on these rims. The tires have worn out before the rims crack.
