Help me decide what to get......
I have been using off road electric and nitro trucks and buggies for many years, but want to switch to on-road.
How fast is the electric TC3 compared to say, the RC10GT (nitro)?
Can you drive the TC3 on the street or in big parking lots?
I am sick of the mess with nitro, and rarely find the dirt to use off road.
I'm not much of a track guy, just like playing around on the street.
Your help is appreciated.

Speed depends on the motor, gearing and batts. Get a Novak Brushless system for speed and easy maintenance.
As far as driving it on parking lots, you sure can. Just find a smooth and clean lot.

Do you know how fast is it compared to the RC10GT?
Or what could I do in addition to the Novak to improve speed?
Thanks!

The TC3 with the Novak brushless will be planty fast enough, as fast if not faster than most nitro cars. If you aren't planning racing I would advise getting something more durable than the TC3, maybe something like the HPI Rally which would be better on a not so smooth surface. The TC3 is a really good car though.

There was a review in the most recent R/C Car Action on the Novak Brushless SS system. I'm not sure what gearing they used but the car just passed 41 mph in a tc3. And it ran for 10:22 on a GP3300 pack. Of course that was on a oval track so if you run it on a road course your run time will drop some. If you plan to run your car for the full battary run time and you have an RS4 Rally I would seriously reccomend not using the inside chassis cover. If you do then cut a decent size hole in it to allow good cooling. It said the avg. temp for the system was around 200 degrees farenheit (spelling?). That seem's pretty hot for me. I don't think the speedo got that hot, but I think that was the temp. for the motor and battary or something. Check out www.rccaraction.com for more info, I'm sure there's some on there. Hope this helps!
