Erik-Why should our kits here be better than the Japan kits? Aren't they the same kit?

Looks like you are progressing through the build rather well rc-z. Everything looks good except for the "fubar" on the gears. LOL! Thanks for sharing the pix.

The US kits will not be any better, they will just include the most up-to-date revisions.

HPI did a siilar thing with the Pro-3, they released it in Europe first. The few problems that wew found with the kit once they had been 'street tested' were addressed by HPI-Europe by issuing updated parts to those who bought the early kits, these parts were included with the US and Japan releases.

Makes good sense to me, and shows HPI aren't the type of company to release a car and ignore any teething problems. Looks like the Pro-4 won't have too many though! Looking forward to getting mine.

Out of interest Thad, what issues have been found with the first issue kits?

No MAJOR issues, just trying to eliminate how many update sheets need to be inserted into the manual

Actually it wasn't too bad with sweet-n-sour saurce..

Thanks Erik for your advice and comments on the gears...definately won't make the same mistake twice.
