I still believe that HPI got the right concept with the Pro 3 in that it had central batteries and motor, shame about the rest of the car, although it was good with quite a few hop ups. I think any manufacturer that manages to get a shaft car with central batteries and motor (extremely hard to do) would have a great car on their hands.

Personally, as far as the 415 concept goes, and Xray's FK05, I think the car would probably be better balanced with the original Xray layout, but Xray seem to think differently so it is probably not the case, it just seems like having equal things either side is the sensible thing to do (3 cells, 1/2 motor, then servo, reciever and speedo).

Whatever happens, I've been extremely impressed with my first shaft driven car, the Pro 4, and how free the drivetrain is, I don't think I'd change to a belt car unless it is something really special.

Like I said, the Pro 4 isn't being discontinued

I've started an HB TC thread so the Pro 4 racers can resume normal programming.

Wink Nice Pics

I see the car has some HPI parts (arms, hubs, etc.). Will HPI be manufacturing the car? Are they partners with Hot Bodies in any way.

This car will stall my Xray order...but I will keep my Pro 4.

the car basically is a belt version of the pro 4, with more aluminum parts. I think the HPI should make aluminum transmission hubs for the pro 4 just like the pro 4 prototype.
