a 10wt oil change??? Piston doesn't affect the spring rate.

but changing to a smaller hole piston makes it harder for the shock to compress is that correct???

If you go with a smaller piston it will affect your dampening, since out shocks are linear it will affect both compression and rebound making the action of the shock slower. It will also increase your pack or the initial ability for the shock to compress.

Awww. what the heck.

Here's one of mine as well. For those who asked, you can see the motor fan just in front of the motor with the excess lead wire strapped to the top.

I was going to ask a question about, but have been to busy at work this week to do anything.
I know on Associated pistons, changing one hole size, you change 5 wt. of oil to get the same dampening. Your correct, hole size effects pack.
With HPI pistons, the hole sizes seems closer together from say a #2 to a #3. Does anyone know what the oil weight difference from one size to the next? Thad?

My car isn't quit close enough yet to start the really fine tuning, like piston size, but it's getting closer.

take care
john
