So, you just call HPI and tell them you have a pro 4 without 1.1 gears?

Thanks!

Does that mean I can request the upgrade set even though I bought the "old" kits with the old gears?

I've emailed HPI Europe Customer Services to find out and will let you know the result.

As of yet, they don't offer an official warranty on the version 1 gears, but they might replace them if you send them to them. HPI Europe will now have the backing plates in stock but it is unlikely these will be handed out to customers who bought the 1st version Pro 4.

Like I said, I will find out more of exactly what's happening, but the above information was taken from someone from HPI who doesn't work in the customer services department.

I did the conversion today...the fit is perfect except for the small bevel gear. with both new gears installed...the drive train sound loader than before. probably due to not having been broken it yet... I put back the original small bevel gear..and all sounds good.. nice and quite..

Has anyone tried the 2mm chassis,I race on a parking lot track with inconstant track conditions(week to week)I run 2 cars, one with the stock chassis and another with a BMI 3mm chassis, the stock chassis car works alot better in the conditions that I'm racing under than what the BMI car does. The Question that I had was on the tweak,if you run the 2mm chassis are you checking the tweak every run and if you are,is it tweaked?I know Hara used this chassis at the Nats. and it seemed to work quite well.

Is there a good replacement for the cvd (purple part)? These seem to break faster than when I had my pro2, they never broke then, maybe just bend. Are these new ones made cheaper? Someone needs to address MIP about these.
